STAR After School Programs

NOVA Enrichment classes are offered everyday to students grades TK-6. These classes are held after school daily and provide a perfect complement to the school day curriculum. With subjects ranging from Art to Science to Music to Sports and much more, there is something that is sure to pique the interest of every student. Nova schedules will come out quarterly with specific classes and days listed for that session. Classes are held at 3pm and 4pm (except on early dismissal Tuesdays, 2pm and 3pm) allowing students to take two different enrichment classes each day if they so desire. There will be four 8 week sessions of Nova enrichment classes offered during each school year.

NEW! Spanish Academy for kindergarten through 6th grade are twice-weekly classes taught by native Spanish speakers that use songs, games, and role-playing activities that make Spanish come alive! Monday and Wednesdays from September 10th – May 22nd. Kindergartners:  3pm-4pm, 1st-2nd grade: 4pm-5pm, and 3rd-6th: 5pm-6pm.

The Galaxy Program provides a full afternoon experience including supervised homework, enrichment classes and organized activities for the students at West Hollywood Elementary as an extended school day that lasts until 6:00 pm. It is offered to students grades K-6, Monday through Friday. Galaxy will meet every school day from school dismissal until 6:00 pm, and all students MUST be signed out by an authorized adult. Parents can register their children in the program for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week. Please pick up a Galaxy registration form in the office or in the auditorium after school. The Galaxy Program enrichment classes will change every session and there are four sessions. For Fall 2012 the enrichment sessions are:

• Wednesday: Ecostation
• Thursday: Theater
• Friday: Improv
