Executive Board for 2024-2025

PIA ROSNER

President

This is Pia's third year at West Hollywood Elementary.  Born in Los Angeles (not far from the WHE campus), she is excited to raise her children in her hometown.  She and her husband, Jake, have two children: Josh, who is in Ms. Levy's 2nd grade class and Shayna, who is still in preschool.  Pia is excited to step into the President role of the FOWHE board, having served as the grants committee chair for the last year.  She is looking forward to help fundraise and build community friendships. When not shuttling the kids around town, Pia manages the DNA Unit for the Los Angeles Police Department Crime Laboratory.  On the weekends, she enjoys going to the farmers market and taking the family to the park.

JESSE SLANSKY

Vice President

This is Jesse’s sixth year as part of the West Hollywood Elementary family. His daughter Amelia started in TK and is now (gulp!) in the 4th grade. His son Henry is in 2nd grade. Over the years, he has served in on the gala committee, as a room parent, and stop & drop coordinator, and now is happy to serve on the FOWHE board.

When not at WHE, Jesse leads a non-profit affordable housing developer, building homes and providing services that move people from insecurity to stability.

ANNIE NEAL

Fundraising Committee Chair

This is Annie’s second year at West Hollywood Elementary. Annie started volunteering last year as Room Parent in her daughter Isla’s Kindergarten class and she is now very excited (and honored) to be serving on the FOWHE board as Fundraising Chair. Professionally, Annie has worked as a Television and Film writer. Annie, her husband Cory and their daughter Isla love all things adventure, travel and animal related (including their three handsome rescue kitties!). They live walking distance to WHE and used to walk Isla by the school as a baby to watch the “big kids” - so it’s a very special for Isla to now go to school here!

KATHY ZENG

Community Committees Chair

Kathy and her husband Will have two kids at West Hollywood Elementary. Their older son Emerson is in 4th grade, and younger son Caden is in 1st. Both started at WHE as kindergarteners. Previously, Kathy volunteered for school events such as Halloween, Gala, Day of Awesomeness, book fair, etc. This is her first year joining FOWHE. She’s excited to continue her commitment to the school and the community at WHE. When school is not in session, Kathy and her family love to travel and explore the food and culture of different countries. Her kids are avid basketball players, so weekends are usually spent at tournaments and league games.

DYLAN VOX-ROSEBERRRY

Events Commitee Chair

With his magical daughter Fallon, this is Dylan’s third year at West Hollywood Elementary.  He is excited to be on the board to help all children benefit from every opportunity we as parents can provide and to keep our school at an exceptional level. He is excited about working behind the scenes to help forge a place where our kids can grow, learn, and enjoy their early years.

Dylan is a recovering lawyer who now owns his own production company. In between entertaining Fallon with her ballet, gymnastics, soccer, and swim classes, beach days, snail hunts, and Barbie tea parties, he manages to direct and produce film and television.

 LAURA MITZMAN

 Treasurer

Laura and her family moved from London, England, to Los Angeles in 2015. Her two daughters have been at WEHO since April 2021, when they moved to West Hollywood from Studio City. Laura loves connecting with people and building community, so when she joined WEHO she restarted ‘Party Book’ to meet new families and help raise money for the school.

Laura is a Nutritional Therapist who loves to throw parties, play netball, hike, travel, and try new restaurants!

KATE BOYER

Secretary

This is Kate's second year serving on the FOWHE board.  Kate is originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota.  Serving on the Board must be in her DNA. Her father volunteered on their local school board in Saint Paul for many years.  Kate moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to earn her Master's at Western University of Health Sciences. Kate and her husband Jay, have two children at West Hollywood, Wynn (5th grade) & Emmeline (4th grade).  Since joining West Hollywood in 2018, Kate has volunteered as a FOWHE Rep, Room Parent, Room Parent and book Fair Chair,  and Volunteer Coordinator.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys golfing, skiing, playing tennis, running, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and hanging out with friends and family at the 3rd & Fairfax Farmer's Market. Professionally, Kate has worked nine years as a medical director at One Medical.

JESSICA VALDES

Communications Commitee Chair

Jessica and her husband Rocco have been in the WeHo Elementary community since January 2020, moving here from Miami, FL. They have 2 children, Summer in middle school and Ace in Second. Jessica has been a room parent for 3 years while volunteering in the classroom and around school. She has been on the Communication Committee since April 2022. Jessica is honored and proud to be part of the FOWHE board.

She is looking forward to growing our school community and continuing the boards mission of providing the best school experience for our children. When not volunteering at school, Jessica and her family enjoy exploring our new city. We love going to museums, hiking, theater, and Dodger games.

SARAH WHITE

Grants Committee Chair

This is Sarah’s first year of involvement in FOWHE. Sarah is a pediatric hospitalist and a parent to two children Ryla and Elliot. She is dedicated to supporting the community that nurtures and supports all our kids, recognizing our elementary school's vital role in their growth and development. Personally, Sarah, her husband Ron, and their two children love adventure, travel, and Sunday brunch! She is excited to help support the school this year and be part of the community that fosters a supportive environment for the kids of West Hollywood Elementary!

JEAN-PAUL TREMBLAY

Communications Chair

Jean-Paul and his partner Danielle are now three years in to dropping off their best friend and current 1st-grader, Nihlim, at West Hollywood Elementary every morning.

Jean-Paul has coached many of Nihlim’s classmates on their youth baseball and T-ball teams for the past several years, always trying to emphasize the playfulness, spirit and adventure of team sports and group activities rather than rigid rulebook fundamentals and strict procedures — leaving that for his work with adults, including his earlier life of nearly two decades in Manhattan, where he spearheaded novel news and comedy projects at ABC’s Lincoln Center studios, worked as a creative director at magazines and ad agencies, and wrote formal correspondence for former President Clinton in Harlem. Now in West Hollywood, Jean-Paul focuses his craft on writing and producing clever comedies and terrific tragedies.
